# IB20.nonces

> Generated B20 reference for nonces(address).

## Signature

```solidity theme={null}
function nonces(address owner) external view returns (uint256);
```

| Canonical signature | `nonces(address)` |

## Description

The current EIP-2612 permit nonce for `owner`. Incremented by 1 on each successful `permit`.
Param: owner Account whose nonce is being queried.
Return: Current nonce.

Read-only or ERC-20-standard access rules unless the NatSpec states otherwise.
